Harbor Day School DJ Festival

I have handled the Harbor Day School DJ Festival for 5 years with all sorts of fun from Kindergarten to 8th Grade. Sack Races, Water Balloon Toss, and of course Limbo. ** So I made this post a few years back and of course if you watch the video it’s of Kobe and Vanessa Bryant being my Limbo Pole holders. I just asked for some parents to help out with holding our poles never expecting they would be the ones to jump in and help me out. He had seen me at a few of these school events, and high fived me once or twice, but I never chatted with him. I was always way to busy, plus I always feel weird chatting with celebrities. I just feel like they just want to be left alone and to feel comfortable hanging out with the kids. Looking back on this with context, I wouldn’t change anything.

To me Kobe was always just a Dad, (I’m a Football guy), but I new that he was one of the top celebrities in Los Angeles but I always expected to see him at the Harbor Day School DJ festival and I was just was happy they helped me out :).

Since this post the school has undergone a massive remodel and it is one of the most impressive schools with a great field and a really cool quad area that is great for the games we play. It really is one of the most impressive Middle/Elementary (if not High Schools) in LA. We are still handling the Festivals, (us and the Burger & Pie people), and every Back to School night is always a start to the fall season.
