Los Angeles DJ and 3 Energy Filled Monday Nights
So if you need an energy boost I suggest hanging out me a “Los Angeles DJ” and 300 students after a week of leadership camp, which is what I got to do for 3 Monday’s in July. So technically I entertained 900 students of the NYLF , a camp for Student leaders all over America, who at the end of a week long intensive leadership camp got to let off some steam with a Dinner & Dance. These young adults, from different states, backgrounds, worlds danced non stop and kept the energy up for over 3 hours. This event was at the new UCLA events center on campus and super nice. Getting into any location at UCLA is always a chore, but this now has a big Elevator with lots of room.
This event has different kids each week, and I did the event each week, but I got the same reaction out of each new group with no lighting and just the normal 2 speaker Los Angeles DJ set up. You can see the reaction each night is different with each crowd, but the energy is the same, because this is what we do… we don’t only play the new hits like young Los Angeles DJs do. We jump around giving everyone a slice of the pie. If you only play Dance EDM and Hip Hop you are killing yourself. Even if you play a couple of country songs that don’t go over as big, when you come back to the hits, it will be an even bigger impact. Most DJs just don’t get this and they struggle all night, and we don’t. Play the Latin Hits, play the ROCK, play the a couple of disco. Hell, we play “Summer Nights” from the Grease Soundtrack and these people went Bonkers, and that song is over 40 years old.
