Newport Bat Mitzvah DJ

So the awesome married team of Ron Levy Photography (949-280-6001) just sent us some brilliant pictures from the B’nai Mitzvah we handled last March at the Hyatt Regency in Newport. Tasty Sounds handled the Newport Bat Mitzvah DJ entertainment and the lighting production. It was a great team effort on everyone’s part including Michelle Capanelli from the Hyatt, Ron & Gabrielle Levy, Shawna Yamamoto of Yamamoto Design and Melinda Gilchrist of Gilchrist Video. It is a nice perk if all your vendors are familiar with each other, and makes the evening much more smooth. I love working with familiar vendors, but it’s also rare and we always strive to work well with every vendor, no matter if they are veterans for it’s their first time, but never get a first time MC/DJ.

Both families couldn’t have been any cooler to work for, and the girls and all their friends where really delightful. This was our second time being the Newport Bat Mitzvah DJ company for Nancy & Paul Schneider and it was great seeing Nick get to kick back without any pressures on him. Sometimes you may not have the budget for really great intelligent lighting, and we only have it at about 20% of our events, but it’s a game changer. The difference between a couple of blinky lights and the energy that intelligent lighting will bring to the dance floor is something you can see instantly. Intelligent lights are controlled and connected to each other and are programmed to move with the songs and also different moods of the night. It does take our team and several extra hours to set it up and this lighting starts at 2K and the average for a great intelligent light set up is more like 3K… but really worth it if you can do it.

The Tasty Team was myself (DJ Alvis), DJ Brian, and Dancers Billy & Jen who got the crowd rocking, and our Creative Lighting Tech George brought it all home.
